Role: Volunteer Soft Skills Instructor

Vai na Web trains people for careers in technology, and most students arrive knowing they need to learn to code, but not that they will need to defend an idea in a meeting, disagree with someone without it turning into a fight, or ask for help before losing three days to a problem.

I taught exactly that part, as a volunteer: communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, handling conflict.

What I saw there is that those skills shift a trajectory as much as the technical ones do, and sometimes more. Someone who knows how to ask for help learns faster than someone who knows more and stays quietly stuck.
