Role: Partner, product and engineering

A local business that wants to exist online has two options today, and both are bad. Hiring an agency costs far too much for someone with one room and three staff. Using a generic builder costs time and decisions: they open a blank screen, have to choose a typeface, a colour, a structure and an order of sections, and give up halfway.

What happens instead is the business stays on Instagram alone, with no place of its own to show services, opening hours, address and how to get in touch.

PiKiTo exists to take the blank screen out of the way. Rather than starting from nothing, you assemble the page on a visual canvas by picking from ready-made sections: header, introduction, services, testimonials, questions and a call to action. Then you fill in your own business details and request a quote.

I am a partner alongside Guilherme, and I handle product and engineering. The decision that defines the product most is what we do not let people choose: the fewer design decisions left to someone who is not a designer, the more pages actually get finished.

We also cover the part that usually stalls once the site is ready, which is the domain, the hosting and getting it published.
